Rubicon Fitness provides in-person personal training and strength & conditioning coaching in Studio City. The Approach:
Training follows structure.
Every client begins with a foundation built around core stability and control. If the trunk cannot organize force, the limbs cannot express it safely. Strength starts from the center.
From there, sessions prioritize compound, full-body movements. Squatting, hinging, pressing, pulling, lunging and carrying. These patterns train the body as a coordinated system rather than isolated parts.
Grip matters. Intent matters. How you hold a weight changes how your body organizes tension. A firm, deliberate grip translates force through the chain and reinforces the body part being trained.
Programming accounts for energy systems as well. Not all fatigue is the same. Conditioning, strength, and recovery are balanced intentionally so progress builds instead of stalls.
Progressive overload is applied, but not blindly. Assessment and observation determine which strength framework is appropriate. Whether that’s capacity-building, structural balance, hypertrophy, or maximal strength development. The method serves the individual, not the other way around.

Strength fixes a lot. Injury is rarely random. It is usually weakness, poor mechanics, or lost capacity in a movement pattern.
Avoiding it doesn’t solve it. So, it is adressed first.
Before strength is applied, movement is assessed. Mobility is restored. Stability is rebuilt. Then load is introduced progressively.
There is no long-term solution in working around dysfunction. You must be rebuilt first.
When appropriate, I collaborate with physical therapists and other providers. Once cleared to train, we restore the pattern and build it stronger.
