NUTRITION STRATEGIES:
No single diet is the solution
Work becomes demanding. Schedules become rushed. Stress increases. Cravings appear. Cooking becomes inconvenient. Factory food is everywhere. Emotional eating, travel, social situations, and unexpected disruptions can challenge even the best diets.
And whatever diet someone follows, they still have to navigate the same world.
That is why no diet, by itself, will ever make you healthy.
You will have good days and bad days. Happy days and sad days. Demanding days and leisurely days.
Your days will always be different. But that doesn’t mean you can’t always be healthy.
No matter where you are or what you are going through, you can always be healthy.
It is not about becoming stricter. It is about going deeper.
Deeper into the patterns influencing your decisions.
Deeper into the obstacles affecting your consistency.
Deeper into the difference between changes and exchanges.
Most people already know more about nutrition than they consistently apply.
It is not about what you know. It is about what you do, consistently.
Nutrition Strategies is designed to close the gap between information and implementation by helping you build a system that is precise enough to create meaningful change and flexible enough to work in real life.
You do not have to be perfect.
But you can be precise.

A dietary-agnostic approach to nutrition
Nutrition Strategies is dietary agnostic.
That means the program is not built around promoting one diet as the answer for everyone.
Keto, plant-based eating, fasting, calorie tracking, macros, portion control, and meal plans can all be useful tools. None is automatically the right solution for every person, goal, or circumstance.
Every tool is considered in relation to your goal, preferences, training, schedule, environment, and response to the process.
The objective is not to make you loyal to a diet.
The objective is to help you develop a system that supports your health and gives you greater agency and awareness over your decisions.
How Phase 1 works
1. Assess
We begin by clarifying your goal and examining your current nutrition, training, schedule, environment, previous attempts, existing strengths, and recurring obstacles.
This establishes a meaningful starting point and determines how progress should be measured.
2. Prioritize
We identify the behavior with the greatest potential impact.
Rather than trying to change everything at once, each coaching period has one clear priority and a defined purpose.
Depending on your goal, we may address:
Meal structure and preparation
Protein and produce intake
Portions and energy intake
Hunger and fullness awareness
Hydration
Nutrient timing
Macros or calorie tracking when useful
Cravings and emotional eating
Restaurants and social situations
Athletic performance and recovery
Sleep and stress
Travel and disrupted routines
These are tools, not universal rules.
3. Practice and track
You apply the assigned behavior for approximately two weeks and track it daily.
Daily tracking can be completed through:
A coaching or habit-tracking app
A paper worksheet
A photo journal
Email
Text messaging
The format is flexible, but the practice must be tracked.
You are not automatically expected to record everything you eat. The purpose is to track the specific behavior we are currently developing.
A missed day is not a failed day.
It is information that helps us understand where the system may require adjustment.
4. Measure
We review your daily tracking alongside the markers relevant to your goal.
These may include consistency, energy, hunger, performance, recovery, body weight, measurements, body composition, or confidence in your decision-making.
We do not rely on memory or guesswork. We use the information you collect to understand what is working.
5. Adjust
Sometimes the appropriate move is progression. Sometimes it is simplification. Sometimes the original plan should change entirely.
The strategy serves the goal.
If a strategy only works during a perfect week, it does not work.
Why Nutrition Strategies is built in phases
Meaningful and lasting change is rarely built in a few weeks.
Many established behavior-change coaching systems use timelines approaching a full year because behaviors take time to practice, evaluate, adjust, and integrate into everyday life.
Nutrition Strategies applies that long-term perspective through three progressive 16-week phases.
Phase 1: Foundation
Understand your current patterns, establish a baseline, and build your first layer of consistent nutrition behaviors.
Phase 2: Progression
Refine the strategy, address more complex obstacles, and progress your nutrition according to your results and evolving goals.
Phase 3: Ownership
Strengthen your decision-making and develop a nutrition system you can manage independently.
Together, the three phases create a 48-week coaching pathway.
However, each phase is separate and not mandatory. .
At the end of Phase 1, we review your progress and determine whether continuing would provide meaningful value. Coaching continues based on value, not dependency.
This program may be right for you if:
You are tired of repeatedly starting over
You want structure without rigid food rules
You want a strategy built around your actual life
You want to improve your consistency
You are willing to practice and track specific behaviors
You value honest feedback and accountability
You want to understand why a strategy is or is not working
You want greater confidence in your nutrition decisions
This program may not be right for you if:
You only want a restrictive meal plan
You are looking for a rapid transformation
You expect guaranteed results
You are unwilling to practice between sessions
You want someone else to make every food decision for you
You require medical nutrition therapy for a diagnosed condition
A foundation that lasts beyond the diet
“He builds a foundation with you, so that this is no longer just a diet, but a lifestyle change.”
— Oscar Velesquez
Nutrition coaching should not make you more dependent on a coach.
It should make you more capable of adapting, improvising and overcoming when circumstances change.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is behavior-based nutrition coaching?
Behavior-based nutrition coaching focuses on the actions you perform consistently rather than simply providing more information.
We identify a behavior related to your goal, practice it in real life, track it, evaluate the results, and adjust the strategy.
The purpose is to turn nutrition knowledge into repeatable skill.
What does dietary agnostic mean?
Dietary agnostic means that I do not promote one diet as universally superior.
A particular diet, meal structure, or tracking method may be used when appropriate, but you will not automatically be placed into a predetermined system.
The diet is a tool within the strategy. It is not the entire strategy.
Will I receive a meal plan or have to count calories?
Not necessarily.
Meal structures, examples, templates, calorie tracking, and macros may be useful for some clients. They are not automatically appropriate for every person or every goal.
We use a tool when the information it provides is valuable and the approach can be applied consistently.
Is daily tracking required?
Yes. The behavior selected during each coaching session must be tracked daily.
That does not mean recording every calorie or documenting everything you eat unless that is the specific practice we have chosen.
Tracking may be as simple as checking a box, completing a short worksheet, sending a photograph, or recording a brief note.
The purpose is not surveillance or perfection. It is to create an accurate picture of what happens between coaching sessions.
What goals can Nutrition Strategies support?
Your strategy may be designed to support:
Fat loss
Muscle development
Athletic performance
Energy and recovery
More consistent eating
Improved meal structure
Greater awareness of hunger and fullness
Better nutrition decision-making
Results are not guaranteed and will vary according to your starting point, participation, circumstances, and consistency.
Why is Phase 1 sixteen weeks?
Sixteen weeks provides enough time to recognize patterns, practice multiple behaviors, encounter real obstacles, and make meaningful adjustments.
At the end of Phase 1, you can continue independently or enter Phase 2 if additional coaching would be valuable.
There is no automatic enrollment or required year-long commitment.
Is this medical nutrition treatment?
No.
Nutrition Strategies provides general nutrition education and behavior coaching. It does not diagnose or treat medical conditions and is not a substitute for individualized care from a physician or registered dietitian.
Clients requiring medical nutrition therapy may be referred to an appropriately licensed healthcare professional.
You will never have a perfect day. But you can have a precise day.
Precision means understanding the goal, choosing an appropriate action, observing the result, and adjusting when circumstances change.
It is not about following a diet perfectly.
It is about building a system that continues to support you through good days, bad days, demanding days, and everything in between.
It is not about what you know. It is about what you do, consistently.
